Nestled deep in the Virginia countryside on 1200 acres VIR truly lives up to its claim as being a motorsports resort. Not only are the grounds impeccable, but the track is world class. Offering high speed straightaways, great technical areas, and the legendary uphill esses; VIR is 3.27 miles of heart-pounding speed.

Once you have driven the Shenandoah Circuit the name will become synonymous with challenging. Argued as one of the most technical tracks in the United States, it offers a replica of Der Nurburgring, with a 20 degree bank, also off camber turns, rapid elevation changes, and decreasing radius corners. Shenandoah is sure to test your driving abilities to their fullest extent. The first time that I saw the Shenandoah Circuit it was still under construction, looking more like a maze than a track, I couldn't wait to drive it. When the day finally came, I knew I had found my new favorite track. At this point I had already had a few events under my belt and felt pretty confident in my driving skills, Shenandoah humbled me and taught me that I had much to learn in order to truly control a car. In that first weekend I learned more about driving than I had in all my previous events. I also had a great instructor, who taught me that smooth is truly fast, especially on this course.

Decisive Driving picks up where conventional driving programs stop. It teaches skills that can take years to develop by accelerating the learning curve in a safe environment. In one day, we provide drivers with intensive training and hands-on experience that lays the foundation for a lifetime of good driving habits.

The courses are taught in Manassas Virginia at Stonewall Jackson High School. (unless otherwise indicated.) Courses last a full day, beginning at 8 AM and going until approximately 5 PM.
